Christmastime
My mom and dad are quite a pair. My mom, the grandmom, LOVES getting fun stuff for Aaron. My dad is super-efficient at packaging and mailing anything. So, we received lots of gifts under our tree this year: tons of clothes, some fun toys and even a baby swing. Thanks Mom and Dad!
Wow! We´re set, at least for a few more months when he outgrows everything we just received in the mail. (It´s coming fast too!)

Our First Thanksgiving Together...We spent Aaron´s first Thanksgiving with our friends Donna and Israel and several other folks in Terrassa. Donna made hats for everyone: either a Pilgrim hat or an Indian headdress. She even made a tiny one for Aaron.
This year has been filled with blessings....you´re looking at blessing número uno.

40th birthday
So, today is a big birthday: the big 4-0. I have friends my age who have 6 kids! My cousin, who is just a year older than me took his oldest child to college this year. And here on my 40th birthday I have an infant sleeping in my arms. My first....hopefully not my last.
There are moments that I think that I might be too old to start a family. And yet, all this waiting has made me wiser and made this time even sweeter.
Hopefully Aaron will feel the same way when I´m old and grey!

10 Things I Have Learned As a New Mom
10. Babies really do say "goo goo, gaa gaa."
9. I can live on just 3 hours of sleep in a row for months on end.
8. It is humanly possible to fit both hands in one´s mouth at the same time.
7. Laughter IS the best medicine.
6. Daddy does help out more than I realize.
5. It is humanly impossible to keep those socks on (and shoes too!)
4. My hips are never returning to their original position.
3. Baby throw up can really travel a long way.
2. Life is simple: eat, play, poop, sleep. What more do I need?
1. Heartstrings really exist. Mine is infinitely bound.

Rub-a-dub-dub
One of your first baths....mom and dad were much more nervous than you were. After the umbilical cord fell off we were set to go. Bathtime or "La hora de la duchita" is at the end of the day. Dad holds you and Mom washes. You seem to like the water, no fears or problems, even when water accidentally slides into your eyes. As soon as you´re able to sit up on your own we´ll add a rubber duck and some extra time for splashing.
